Submit it through our maintenance form at cdacoliving.info/Maintenance (or email [email protected]) with photos and a short description. Requests are prioritised against our internal service targets — urgent issues as fast as we can, and always within 2 days. A faulty smoke alarm is different: call us, and it's repaired or replaced within 2 business days as NSW law requires. Full details in Living at CDA.

Day visits are always welcome — guests just need to leave by 10 PM. For overnight stays you need express permission from CDA first, and a $50 additional occupancy fee applies for that week (Mon–Sun). Guests staying more than 7 days must sign their own agreement. See the House Rules.

Day-to-day cleanliness is shared between housemates — your room, your dishes, and a roster for the common areas (CDA sends a suggested one; you're free to adjust it between you). Where a property has a cleaning service — not all do, so ask about yours — how often depends on how many people live there: none under six, every 4 weeks at 6–7, fortnightly at 8–14, weekly at 15 or more. That's exactly the gap coliving is built to close. Working from a room all day and then eating alone is how a new city starts to feel isolating — so our houses are designed around shared kitchens and living areas where you run into your housemates without having to organise anything. Cooking at the same time, a coffee before your first call, a shared meal on a Sunday: most friendships here start that way rather than at an event.

You still get a door that closes. Your room is yours, and nobody expects you to be social on a day you need to put your head down and work. That balance — company when you want it, quiet when you don't — is what makes landing in a new city or a new routine a lot less lonely than doing it from a studio apartment.
